PHP has often been the poor cousin to .NET and Java but things are slowly starting to change. My client has a two decade pedigree at the coalface of software development on an enterprise scale and they are experiencing strong demand in the PHP space presently. 2013 has brought with it several new clients and substantial new project growth so we are now looking for a PHP developer that can bring some grunt to the team.

You will form a growing part of my clients PHP department and will be given the opportunity to influence and shape the make-up of this moving forward. You will need to be able to demonstrate enterprise level experience with PHP and have worked with an open source CMS, preferably Drupal or SilverStripe. Basic website developers need not apply as this is progressive role for someone looking to take a leap into the big time.

The necessary skills are:

• 4+ years experience with PHP
• An ability to demonstrate enterprise level experience
• Strong presentation layer skills with HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• CMS experience – ideally Drupal or SilverStripe
• Excellent English and must be based in NZ to be considered for the role
